In tally payroll you can define salary structure of a particular employee group or a particular employee for faster data entry. This means that you don’t need to enter all the salary heads of each and every staff in every month. Suppose your company has a common salary structure for all staff working under sales dept., in that case you can define salary structure for sales dept. employee group once and copy the same to all the employees.

Now let us define structure for sales department salary structure in accordance with the example given in first lesson.

A list of employees/ group displayed
Select the sales group from it and press enter. Now select the pay heads applicable for sales department and enter the amount fixed .Here let us assume that Anand salary structure is applicable for entire sales group.
Enter Krishna salary for structure for admin department assuming that his salary structure is applicable for entire admin department in the same manner.

Select employee Anand from the list, if you already entered salary details for parent group a new screen ‘Copy from parent value’ screen gets displayed
You can either choose copy from parent value to copy details from group or start from fresh to enter all the details from the beginning if you select copy from parent value , salary details will be copied from sales group as Anand is working under sales group. You can override the sales group fixed salary structure by selecting start a fresh and enter new details. press enter to accept the screen.

there is provision to contribute 12% of wages towards EPF contribution and we have nocelling for this . Means if the wages are rs 20000 then the EPF calculation is as under
wages for EPF ( Basic +GP+DA)
1 EPF employees share 20000*12%= 2400
2 Pension Fund 8.33% of Rs 6500
3 Employeer Contribution to EPF (20000*12%=2400)- (Minus pensun fund amlount)541
