How to recover corrupted or damaged tally data.

As already discussed, data must be backed up every day to save your work. There are many reasons for tally data corruption.the main reasons are.

  • Power shutdown while you working with tally.
  • For multi user tally, server computer shutdown while somebody working on tally on other computer in network enviourment.

To save your tally data, always ensure proper power back-up for your system.

Keep a copy of existing tally data folder some where on your computer. Open tally and rewrite the company by pressing   Alt+Ctrl+R Keys at the same time from   company info menu , following screen will appear.

select the company you want to rewrite. Tally will ask you rewrite? , select yes to rewrite data.

Now check your data is working or not, if it is not working, I think there is no other way to recover it. Just contact tally solution with your tally serial number. They might help you.
